Real McCoy Charcoal Burger (The)

Long serving the Woburn community of Scarborough, The Real McCoy is simply put, and institution. Wood paneling, yesterdays sunshine girl on the wall, and myriad local hockey team sponsorship photos should tip-off the customer that this is a no-nonsense burger joint. Absolutely everything on the menu (which has remained unchanged for a decade) is prepared with a big helping of TLC, and you will not find a better lunch-spot to gripe about the big game the night before. The only thing this place needs is a liquor license, and they'd never get you to leave. Ten thousand thumbs up.

This is hands down the best place in the GTA for burgers, poutine and pizza. If you're looking for burgers be sure to get the mojo (it won the name in a radio station contest). Their poutine is especially great - I've never had better (not even in Quebec). Their pizza slices are huge, they use quality ingredients and it's always fresh (and they use kielbasa instead of pepperoni). To top it all off it's literally a mom and pops establishment, so everyone who works there is extremely nice. Pop in if you're in the area and looking for great take out (there's no seating, but there's a ledge for standing and eating). Highly recommended.
