CUSTOMER SERVICE - ALL THUMBS DOWN

My son who happened to be in Edmonton got ill. Being new there, he found this clinic. When he came there, he dealt with a clinic receptionist and gave his Provincial Health Card from BC, as we're from BC. There's a discrepancy on his care card being the last name bears the mother's name, that was before we legally changed his last name to mine, the father, after me and my wife got married. At the end, he had to pay the consultation fee out of his pocket because the receptionist did not believe his situation, and that is after the fact that the mother who was in her work then could explain to her over the phone the discrepancy. The receptionist did not even entertain the possibility for the mother to fax the copy of the care card bearing my son's chaged name which she was will to do after all while she was working in Vancouver. At the end, when my son met Dr. S. Ghani, he explained the situation. With all the best accommodation Dr. Ghani could offer, she did to my son. She instructed him to fax those legal papers and would reimburse my son the fee. Then we did! After few days, my son check with them if he could come back and collect the fee, the same receptionist answered that they did not received the fax from Vancouver. Then we did fax again, and I called the clinic myself at the same time to get a confirmation receipt. A different receptionis said acknowledge the receipt. After a week, my son called again if he could come to the clinic for the fee, and he was told that it was OK. Wheh he reached the clinic, he was again entertained by the original receptionist who now claimed the fax copies were not clear. To make the story short, my son explained that he was coming from his place far to the clinic and sometimes had to use the taxi to beat the clinic hours after work. This particular instance, my son was told in front of other patients by the original receptionist to "STOP BUGGING HER ABOUT THE MONEY". I was wondering, how she did allow my son to come to the clinic and then refused him because the fax copies were not clear? She could have told him to have those legal documents refaxed again, right? The originial consulatation was on 16th of January 2009. At the time of this writing, there's nothing positivie happening yet. For you guys, will you be able to help me for some contacts in Edmonton, so I can lodge a formal complain to the proper authority about this. Thank you.
