Brassaii

I had the yummiest martini tonight… “not your average joe” – if you love the taste of cucumber you have to try this! we sat at the bar drinking and also tried items from the new menu steamed mussels in a coconut-curry sauce with fries and also had the beef carpaccio. The new chefs cuisine is delicious.

Tonight I had an early dinner with my girl friend. Wow the new menu at Brassaii is delicious. It was a nice treat to also meet the new executive chef Bruce Woods. He came to our table and introduced himself to us. We started with the beef carpaccio with tomato’s, jalapeno’s and pickled ginger and the Sautéed wild mushroom and spinach salad. For our entrée’s I had the bacon wrapped fillet of beef and my girlfriend had Muscovy Duck confit filled ravioli. After that experience we are definitely going back!!!

Brassaii Bistro Lounge hosted a celebratory dinner for the cast and filmmakers from the movie “Up in the Air” at the Toronto International Film Festival. Including actors George Clooney, Jason Bateman, Vera Farmiga, Melanie Lynskey, Anna Kendrick and director Jason Reitman. Others that came for the after party were actors Bill Murray, Amanda Seyfried and Rachelle Lefevre. It was a very cool party and the food yummy..
