It is our goal to establish the highest quality of training at the L.A. School of Hair Design.

What subjects are taught during this Course?
To prepare for involvement in the Government Apprenticeship Program leading to becoming a Licensed Beautician, we cover the PRACTICAL aspects of shampooing, hair shaping, fingerwaving, pin curls, hair styling, permanent waving, hair colouring and bleaching, thermal waving and blow drying, corrective treatments, manicuring, superfluous hair removal, and other related areas. Extensive THEORY is provided regarding the above plus ethics of the profession, bacteriology, hair and scalp disorders, nail and nail disorders, skin and skin disorders, anatomy, and salon management.

Demonstrations and seminars are arranged periodically to keep students informed of the latest techniques and products.

Nail clinics are also arranged but at an additional cost.

A non-refundable registration fee of $150.00 is required. This sum will be applied to the tuition upon commencing the course.

What days of the week will this course be given?
The school will be open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The school will be closed on Statutory Holidays.

When Can I Begin The Course?
Students may begin classes the first Monday of each month. Pre-registration is advisable.

What is the duration of the course?
A student is required to train no less than 1,400 hours which should be completed in approximately 37 weeks.
