Backflow Services

Backflow Solutions is focused primarily on the testing, servicing, and installation of Cross Connection Control devices. Our Cross Connection Control Specialists have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in the testing, servicing, and installation of most makes and models of Cross Connection Control devices.

Backflow Solutions has experience with the testing of fire suppression system devices. In the event of a test involving a building’s fire system’s backflow test, we will ensure that the City of Calgary Fire Department is informed of the test, while the fire system is offline. Alarm companies may also have to be notified, and we will ensure that the proper authorities will also be informed.

We are in close contact with the City of Calgary Water Service Department, and are well aware of the importance for proper and prompt documentation of all test results. Backflow Solutions has designated a secure location to keep and maintain all such documents. Copies of all test results will be issued to the city, issued to the client, and kept on our records.

Backflow Solutions uses the Watts TK99E Cross Connection Tester. The TK99E enables us to test both RP and DCVA devices. We have many testers on hand that are certified, and ready to go. By having more than one device per tester, this ensures the client that there will be no down time due to repairs or recertification of our equipment.

We offer a variety of plumbing repair services such as but not limited to: leaky taps, leaks on drains, tap replacement, plugged sinks, plugged tubs, leaks on water pipes, leaks on recirculating pipes, zone valve replacement, toilet repairs, toilet replacements, low flow toilet supply and install, monthly building inspections, furnace filter replacement, hot water tank flushing.

Do you have a slow draining sink or tub? We can help.
We will power auger your drains with an Auto Spin Auger that can snake small drain lines 30 feet. It is a self contained unit that minimizes mess and will clear lines of hair blockages and sludge build up.

Is your toilet not flushing properly? We can help.
We can replace a leaky flapper, fill valves, flush handles and hand auger the bowl to free blockages. We can also remove and inspect the bowl if you believe something got flushed that should not have (toys, razors, nail clippers, cell phone.....we’ve seen it all).

Do you have new fixtures that need to be installed? We can help.
Taps, toilets, or sink grinders we can do it.

Building Maintenance

This service is designed for small apartment buildings or condo buildings. We can do a monthly inspection of all appliances in your building such as; boilers, make up air units, exhaust units, and sump pits. We can change filters in air units and micron filters on hydronic heating boilers. We will provide a detailed summary of our findings and bring them to your attention.
