Only Henry Wu would have the stomach to take a cursed uptown corner and turn it into a cash cow. Heads were scratched earlier this year when the soft-spoken hotel magnate decided to open Lai Toh Heen in the same space where even the enormously successsful Oliver Bonacini group (Canoe, Auberge de Pommier) attempted two short-lived restaurants (Steak Frites and Square) without being able to make a go.
