Haynes Law Office - Profile
Paulette S. Haynes has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1994. She received her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science in 1989.
Ms. Haynes heads her own boutique law firm, Haynes Law Office, which provides legal representation in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. Her employment law practice has a particular emphasis on wrongful dismissals, severance negotiations, employment standard claims, human rights and the rights and obligations pertaining to non-standard workers. Ms. Haynes arcs both for employees and employers and has represented her clients at various tribunals and courts.
Ms. Haynes previously worked in the Chair's Office of the Ontario Human Right Commission. She has conducted public education seminars on a variety of employment related issues. She authored a legal publication entitled "Human Resources Guide to Non-standard Employment" and an article entitled "Legal Update: Contracting Out" in the Canadian Learning Journal.
Ms. Haynes also has a diverse practice in civil litigation and has represented her clients in the following areas of law: commercial, real estate, professional discipline, personal injury, estates and family litigation. Ms. Haynes has a keen interest in trail and appellate advocacy and has represented her clients at various courts and boards.
