Excellent place to go to learn how to knit. Warm, cozy environment with knowledgeable and talented staff. High quality yarn from all over the world with all the needles and bits and bobs you would need to complete that special project.

this great little shop sells all kinds of specialty wools and yarns. the store is incredibly cute and the owner is very nice and helpful. the prices are a little high, but that comes with the territory when you are looking for high-quality yarn.

Lettuce Knit is located very conveniently in Kensington Market, and it is always a pleasure to shop there. The store has a lovely, clean, open atmosphere, which is quite a feat considering how much yarn they have to fit into the small amount of space they have. They carry only natural fibres, and also have a selection of bamboo knitting needles, books, magazines and patterns. Some of their yarn is on the pricier side, but it's totally worth it for the quality of what you get!
