John Paul Evans & Associates - Barristers and Solicitors

John Paul Evans, B.A., LL.B., received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Toronto in 1970 in Philosophy. He then pursued his legal studies at the University of Toronto Law School graduating with the Bachelor of Law Degree in 1973. He was called to the Bar in the Province of Ontario in 1975 and he has been a member of the Law Society of the Province of Ontario in good standing from the time of his call to date. He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Peel Bar Association. His professional career has been varied and full as he has practiced in all areas of the law. He has also founded and operated numerous commercial enterprises.

Mr. Evans is currently engaged in the practice of real estate and business law and given his wealth of experience, he is able to offer clients both practical and legal solutions with respect to these areas of law. With the establishment of branch offices in the City of Toronto, Mr. Evans will be able to serve clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area and is of the view that his new association with James Naumovich, LL.B. will further enhance the law firm¹s expertise in real estate, mortgage, corporate and business law.

James Naumovich, B.A., LL.B., received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Detroit in 1970, majoring in Philosophy. Graduated cum laude. James attended the University of Windsor Law School and obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 1973. He was also the Carswell Book Prize Winner in the first year. He was called to the Bar in 1975 and had practised continually ever since. He is a member of the The Law Society of Upper Canada and in good standing from the time of his call to the Bar. During his career, James has acted on over 26,500 files and he brings his broad experience and depth of knowledge in Real Estate matters to the firm. James is fluent in both the English and Macedonian languages.

Rose Song: Law Clerk - Rose joined John Paul Evans & Associates in 2003 and is currently head of the real estate division. Rose is a Law Clerk and a member of the Law Clerks Association. She has a wealth of experience in commercial real estate, purchases, sales, financing, mortgage remedies and residential real estate. She also has experience in corporate and business law. Speaks English and Mandarin.

Haseena Hui: Real Estate Assistant - Haseena joined the firm in April 2006 and is in the process of obtaining her Law Clerk certification. Currently, she is working in the residential real estate division, with a focus on residential purchases, sales, mortgages and financing. She also has experience working in estate law. Speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Gabriela Nowicka, Paralegal - specialized in: WSIB Claims, Landlord-Tenant Matters Small Claims Court Cases All Immigration Matters Power of Attorneys, Simple Wills Uncontested Divorces Other/all legal matters in Poland. Speaks English and Polish.

Elsa Lopes, B.A., MSW: Executive Administrator - Elsa joined John Paul Evans & Associates in 2005. She holds a Master's degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph. She is currently Mr. Evans administrative assistant and is also responsible for all accounting matters and the daily operations of the head office and branch offices. Speaks English and Portuguese.

Deborah Byrne: Legal Assistant - Deborah is responsible for Reception and assisting in real estate transactions as well as the important duty of greeting clients and running the day-to-day portion of the Broadview location.

Mary Bavaro: Senior Law Clerk - Mary has been associated with James Naumovich for over 26 years and is also the office administrator of the Broadview location.

Gloria Roopnarine: Senior Law Clerk - Gloria has been associated with the James Naumovich portion of the firm for over 25 years. She is handling Purchases, Sales and Refinancing of Property.

William Choy: Conveyancer-Law Clerk-Title Searcher - William has been associated with James Naumovich for over 15 years. He brings his skill and expertise at searching titles and closing real estate deals to the real estate department.
