The menu has more variety than alot of other sushi restaurants. the staff were pretty cool, and the value is great. I think this place tops sushi on Bloor because they dont jam their customers in the place like sardines!

New Generation and Sushi on bloor compete for best sushi in the annex. I think New Gen is a close second but judge the lines waiting for a table and go wherever it is less busy. The experience will be good and the food will be come in large portions

the volume of sushi on bloor street can be a bit overwhelming, but after carefully sifting through each one and exhaustively trying maki after maki, i have made my choice. new gen is THE best one on bloor! very similar to sushi on bloor, it offers miso soup and salad, plus a free scoop of ice cream to every customer. the vegetarian selections are better than down the street and their sushi pizza is divine! they offer the delicious seaweed salad that often gets left off menus and are perhaps the most efficiently run high-volume restaurant around. this restaurant was closed due to fire damage last year, but has come back with a bigger, better space and slightly improved menu that keeps people in lines out the door on a regular basis.
