Bloor Cinema (The)

the bloor is basically my second home. the tickets are so cheap i have actually gone there more with the intention of taking a nap than actually watching the movie. this occurence is rare, however, as the bloor plays an awesome selection of second run, foreign, art and local cinema and hosts a number of community events, q&as with directors and showcases films made by their own employees as well! the building has quite a history of near collapses/fire scares etc., but they haven't closed their doors yet due to impressive demand! there are never previews before movies, the drinks (yes, they have dr. pepper!) are ice-free, the popcorn is topped with real butter and their snacks are wickedly cheap. a bloor membership is indispensible for any film fan.
