Yarn Foward & Sew-On

This is the biggest yarn store I've been to in Ottawa, though they didn't have as big a selection as I would've liked. Instead of jam-packing the store full of merchandise like some other stores, Yarn Forward has opted to create an open atmosphere where their yarn is neatly displayed. The staff here has always been very nice and helpful, and I have fond memories of frequenting this store back when I was a new knitter who lived in this city. They also sell sewing supplies, but I don't know anything about that. :)
