History

Founded in 1994, AMC began providing International freight services to the Oil & Gas and mining sectors. Since that time we have expanded to provide our clients with a single contact for all of their shipping needs. We have established a network of agents that have enabled us to handle our customers’ local needs as well as international requirements.

AMC has expanded the services we offer to include Same Day shipments in Canada, local P&D in Calgary, temperature sensitive shipment (perishable), hot shots, warehousing, distribution, packaging/crating and insurance. AMC has built its reputation based on personalized service and the reliability and honesty of our people and agents. At AMC we don't believe in voice mail, you will always get a live person answering your calls 24 hours a day!!

Air Freight

Domestic Air Freight

AMC provides domestic airfreight for any size or type of package including perishable items and dangerous goods. We provide overnight and same day service for time sensitive freight. We are on call 24 hours a day for tracking, P + D services and shipment co-ordination. Our backbone is our established and reliable network of carriers and local couriers in all major cities, enabling us to provide reliable 24-hour service from coast to coast.

Once the freight order is given we take the responsibility and ensure the order is ready for pick up from the shipper, reserve space for the shipment on the next available flight and make an appointment with the consignee for delivery. During the process we keep the interested parties informed at all times of the developments and status of the freight. Our focus is to move the shipment as quickly and efficiently as possible while keeping the customer informed of the status of the shipment at all times.

International Air Freight

AMC provides all phases of International Airfreight services, Import and Export. We can take your order right from the PO stage and have the freight picked up, inventoried, packaged and crated if necessary, booked and sent off on the next available flight through our network of International air carriers. We are able to provide one or all of these services, depending on each customer’s particular needs. We will provide you with an update every day until your shipment has reached it destination.

Ocean Freight

A network of reliable carriers and agents has enabled AMC to keep competitive in the ocean freight industry. We handle container traffic as well as Break Bulk and have even been involved in chartering entire ships in the past. There is no job too big for our experienced and eager staff. AMC has moved hundreds of Ocean Freight shipments in the past with great success. We service almost any port in the world and would be glad to quote on your next Ocean freight requirements. Hotshots

Air Marine Cargo provides local P + D services as well as hot shots within Western Canada. We have ½ ton to 1 ton refrigerated vans for local deliveries in Calgary or Edmonton or Hotshots from Calgary/Edmonton to anywhere in Western Canada. With our network of agents across Canada we can offer hotshots to and from anywhere in North America. We also operate 5-ton flat deck trucks with trailers available for hotshots and general freight within Canada. If you have any hotshot requirements please feel free to drop us a line anytime.

Truck Freight

AMC is well connected within the trucking industry in North America. We have a network of carriers, owner operators and brokers we frequently use. Whether you are shipping small boxes or large oversize and overweight freight we can assist you in moving the freight on time and in the most cost effective manner. We offer every different type of truck service at very competitive rates. Flat deck, dry van, reefer or heated service, b-train, oversize and overweight loads. We also operate six of our own truck in Western Canada; these trucks are available 24 hours a day for load up to 20,000 lbs. Packing and Crating

We have been in the crating business for over six years. We are one of the few Freight Forwarders that offer in house storage, crating and container stuffing right in our building. We can tell you the up to the minute status of your shipment. If you call a forwarder for information they have to call the crater or warehouse and get the information you are looking for. Warehousing and Storage

AMC operates a 4000 square foot warehouse in Calgary for shipment consolidations, cross-docking, stuffing and de-stuffing containers, distribution and packaging. We have both dock high and drive up capabilities. As with all of our other services we are on call 24 hours a day to accommodate our customers’ needs. We also have access to a network of storage facilities not just in Calgary but North America wide. We can also offer temperature controlled storage services within Canada.
