Sears Canada is a full line, full service department store and catalogue retailer dedicated
o providing its customers with quality merchandise and exceptional service, coast to
coast. Sears and its more than 56,000 associates are committed to satisfying customers
by providing products and services of superior value through both personal shopping
and catalogue ordering.

The Sears Canada catalogue, issued to more than 4.5 million households, is Canada's only general merchandise catalogue.

In the early 1990's, Sears opened a locally owned and operated Sears catalogue outlet in
Elk Point, Alberta. This outlet provides a convenient spot for customers to place
catalogue orders and to pick up their purchases.

Catalogue Recycling Program:
Sears Canada's most important environmental initiative is the recycling of Sears
catalogues. Since 1992, arrangements have been made with two recycling facilities to
collect and recycle catalogues returned by customers to Sears. To help this effort Sears uses only recyclable glue on its bound books, no UV or Cellucoating on covers, and
specifies that no inserts contain materials (such as latex, plastic laminates, or peel-and-
stick adhesives) that might contaminate the repulping process.
